It takes a lot of people working together to make the Louisiana Renaissance Festival work!
Most people do not realize that there are more than 400 people involved in the production of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. We would like to take a moment to thank some of these people for helping us put on such an excellent show!
First, we would like to thank our wonderful merchants for bringing their wares to our show. Many of these people hand make their products, and traveling from festival to festival is what they do for a living. Many of them bring employees that work at other Renaissance Festivals from across the country to help improve our "Renaissance Village" atmosphere.
Next we would like to thank all of the professional entertainers that come out and work at our show. They travel from across the U.S. and Canada to bring their shows here for your pleasure. Their shows are truly events to take pictures of and tell others about!
And most of all, we want to give a sincere Thank You to all our cast members! In addition to the 16 days that we are open for the festival, they also spend another 6 to 15 days training to be members of our cast. They all provide their own costumes and volunteer their time to come out and "Play with the Patrons!" Their continuing support is truly what makes the Louisiana Renaissance Festival a special place!
We want to give an 'extra' thank you to our all our cast members that have been part our production staff for the past several years. They are the people responsible for making sure that our cast members can create the magical world of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.
There are a LOT of people who have put in extra time and effort to make the Louisiana Renaissance Festival better for both the public and for our cast. It would be impossible to list all the folks that should be on this list, but I am going to try. I know this list will continue to grow as more and more people add their 'special touch' to our show!
A special thank you to Jamie Haeuser, who is our liason for professional entertainment and special guests. She has gratiously opened her home to both our cast members and special guests, and spent countless hours making sure everything is done on time.
A special thank you to all the people that have volunteered time to come out and work on buildings for the Renaissance Festival. They have helped build the wonderful ambiance that is part of the Renaissance Festival experience. There have been too many people involved to list them all, but their help has not gone unnoticed!
A special thank you to all the folks from the Paradise Crew! They have all come out and given us a hand making sure things were ready ontime.
A special thank you to Austin Brumfield (Alvon's father) for spending hundreds of hours making sure the roads and grounds are in good condition. He has also allowed us to use much of his personal equipment making sure that everything here can be finished on-time.
A special thank you to Chuck Davis for creating our logo, and for creating our flyers for our first three years. His graphics design abilities helped us make a good impression the first time!
A special thank you to Richie Hight (Rick's son) for spending hundreds of hours writing computer software, tweaking the website, writing ASP scripts, managing the ticket booth, and taking care of anything else that needed to be done to make sure the show goes on!
